This weekend was great! We were supposed to go with our friends, the Edgars, but they had to stay home. Too bad because the snow was pretty fun! We headed up on Friday stopping for a ride just East of Bull Trout Lake. We headed up Bench Creek to Martin Lake Overlook, then down Swamp Creek and over to Lola Lakes and back to the truck. The end of Lola was challenging for us since we left the chainsaw at home and there was quite a bit of down trees, but we managed. Saturday left us holed up in the lodge since six inches of snow was in the forecast and we didn't want to become the first two human popscicles of the year. As we left the lodge on Sunday, we headed towards Sun Valley in hopes of finding another trail and , eureka, we found it! Oregon Gulch just outside of Ketchum was awesome! We enjoyed lots of snow and Quaking Aspens. Lunch in Sun Valley was delicious and wrapped up a perfect getaway! Thank you Jesus!
